In between levels you can speak to two characters, which shapes up the plot of the game a bit. I've decided to leave those segments out to make my life easier and to not lengthen out this playthrough. If you're that interested in seeing them, pick up the game itself, it's fun and cheap.

Gungrave is awesomely stylish and gorgeous and if you know how to play it, very, very fun. It's very easy to get to grips with, as you get to shoot up just about anything while looking absolutely cool, but balancing out all the areas in which are rewarded in can be a quite challenge. Regardless, it is a very short game with not much replay value, but the sheer thrill of its fast, quick-burst gameplay is always satisfying to me.

The game has a lot of flair, featuring designs by Yasuhiro Nightow of Trigun fame, with various other contributions from artists bringing the game to life, and even has a soundtrack by Tsuneo Imahori, who was responsible for the music in Cowboy Bebop. His soundtrack is some truly excellent stuff, though it's a little obscured by all the heavy amounts of gunfire in the game, it really sets the mood.

Gungrave is property of Red Entertainment and Sega.

  • is this made by the people who made bayonetta because the gameplay is extremely similar u beef the graphics add a few high class finishers and this game would be just as good as beyonetta if not better gungraves story is good and this gameplay is great why havent i heard of this game

  • @sillyblackguy It's made by a different company, I feel it plays absolutely nothing like Bayonetta.

  • I think they should definitely make another gungrave game ala bayonetta

  • @moronwithcomputer That's not a bad idea though I wouldn't something like this once more.

  • It's not on the hardest setting though, is it? The Beat Meter disappears much more quickly on the Kick Ass setting, and you dont get a health restore option in it.

  • No because that's just not fun.
