John Carpenter is the MAN... However, I do like Rob.  Obviously, John's versions are original and BEYOND better... but I think Rob kicks some ass too...not with the Halloween franchise of course (ok, halloween 2007 had some excellent scenes) but Rob is cool. Like Carpenter, Rob is fun to watch on interviews here on youtube. I respect both because they don't take shit.

@muscleoffigus, Yeah actually he is, Carpenter went to a mental institution for a class trip and seen one patient that was around 12 years old that disturbed him, the description that Dr.Loomis gave to Sheriff Brackett about Michael was the same description Carpenter had on the child, that child inspired Michael Myers creation.

@nihilisticpunk, The fact that Michael (the original) is based on a real life mental patient that John Carpenter observed in Kentucky, that drives, stalks, kills, stares and finds someway into your territory scares me, other than Michael's super natural element, he is a very realistic character, saying that I have issues because I'm afraid of something that could happen in real life anywhere at anytime is idiotic.
