I got two small indiam ringneck babies. They hve been with me since 4-5 months. But still they dont trust me. When i put food at a height they step up on my finger to eat it but as soon as they hold it in their mouth they jump away. They dont come near me too. :( any help?? Pleaaaase

does he know thjis trick already? cuz i can pet my bird and everything and step up to but if i touch her beak or somthing she will bite me and she would fly away right away and she wouldnt listen :( she might just peck me though

i have a indian ringneck too so any tips on how to gain his trust he lets me rub his neck but at any time he switches and bits me i once put my finger in front of him and he bit me bad so i have to wear gloves any tips

I have an 7 year old cockatiel, will I still be able to teach him tricks??
-
your bird is goorgeous and I love the way you are handeling him so calm and loveingly
-
how long does it take to make a indian ringneck to me tame from 9 months
I love you'r gorgeous bird AJ, but I believe that Indian Ringneck is easier to train
than Cockaliel. I found my cockatiel Kukus 3 years ago, he's beautiful bird but he will not lay on his back. I have 3 birds 2 of them rescued.
Please look at my video with Kukus. He is clever boy too.

@LandBLK You do have a clever bird. All birds are different, ultimately time and patience will produce some results.

@jltl44 It will take time and repetition. Keep doing it, you'll get there.
