Maybe good for starter plants, but TRUST ME; if your serious about it, build one yourself. One thats big enough and has better lights. You can make a DWC/CD system for just as much that does a 1000% better job, but the lights are going to cost you. With a good 400W HPS ballast, there will be nothing to stop you. PLUS, you'll have bragging rights to the construction and full growth... As well as learn ALOT along the way.

dwc IS the shit, though. rexenne nailed it. you can buy a cheap air pump, a rubbermaid container, and a stone. you need baskets, and something to cut holes, but thats about it. sprout your seeds, (or cuttings) transfer, and fire your light.

Using just one of these my family eats 3 meals a day. It works out to 1 watt per meal. If we were to pedal power this it would only take 10 min of pedaling per meal! We can convert starving countries to food generating cyclists!
