This 1967 release on Jerry Butler on Mercury Records was written (and co-written by Butler) and produced by the famed songwriting team of Gamble and Huff, who later went on to write and produce the O'Jays, Harold Melvin &The Blue Notes on their Philadelphia International Records label in the '70's This song was released on Mercury72764, with the unique "fan"label.

Jerry Butler and Curtis Mayfield are the two best singers from this generation as far as I'm concerned. Although I'm partial to David Ruffin also. Anyway, this is Jerry's best song next to "For Your Precious Love".
