@ngvgnDOTcom I have used my Sonny Webbie as a webcam but only to test it. I mostly use my Mac and it has a great built in web cam. My Webbie is my least favorite camera...The Kodak Zi8 is my new love!

This is exactly the sort of thing I've been looking for. I have a Samsung hmx-u10 camcorder, and the thing I dislike about it the most is that it has a 1x fixed focus optical zoom. I bought the camcorder to start vlogging or making youtube videos, but when I turn the camera on myself, it's zoomed up so much that it cuts off my chin and the top of my head. I was looking at other camcorders to buy, but this is a better and cheaper solution.

thanks for the info. I ordered it and got it two weeks. i guess that email confirmation i got with the tracking number was useless. i kept on checking but it kept saying no record of the tracking number. Shipped from hongkong.

Went to the website and on the iphone page there are a few lenses to choose from. Is it called Magnetic / Detachable Telephoto (2X) Lens for iPhone / iPod Nano 5 / HTC / Kodak Zi8. I assume so, there is a cheaper one listed as well that looks the same.

Thanks for the review, I was looking at purchasing the lens for my Sony Webbie MHS-PM1 which I love to use for my vlogs. Have you had any luck with using your Sony Webbie as a Webcam? B/C I haven't!
