Understanding exponential growth as a fundamental driver of global warming, environmental destruction, peak oil and natural gas, water and arable land shortages, social decay, resource wars, etc..

I am looking for people to help me translate this video into other languages.

Commentarians...If you think understanding exponential growth is important, and that this video clip is helpful, I hope you will consider including a link to this clip in your signature line in your commentary on other blogs -- as appropriate.

No we aren't smarter...we will overshoot the carry capacity of our planet despite knowing we already have too many people......

Also, in many of these countries the women have little say in anything and aren't raised to believe that they have rights. Often they're only bearing children to satisfy the man's pride.

Thank you for this video, I am afraid we will be victims of our own success. Maybe some humans will survive and begin a new civilisation. Maybe it will not be for the first time. Perhaps we have gotten further than those before us.

No it isn't....hey, I'm a Tom Clancy fan, I'll admit that, but WW3 isn't happening. It's something for the history books now.

Remember that there's no good reason to think humans will become extinct - yet. But there may be a massive depopulation in the future. Think of the famines you see in Africa when their crops fail or they fall into war. But this time there's no aid from outside.

or we could also export feminism to third world countries - that would turn their women into annoying and generally speaking unfu###### fat blobs... I am sure that would seriosuly hamper population growth

There isn't really an overpopulation problem that we have to worry about just yet. The only countries that exist today whose total fertility rate is high are in Africa, where most of the countries there have bad infrastructure and an uninformed populace. Most of the developed world either has stable population growth rates or will begin to decline.
