In my opinion this coaster was the model wooden roller coaster that I would have been terrified to ride as a kid. As a grownup I still look for that incredible first drop like this the old Rattler. When I first saw the updated footage of this ride I could not believe that they shaved off that much track at the bottom of the first drop? To see for yourself, watch this footage and then watch a POV of the Rattler from the last couple of years .Amazingly awful what they did to this ride. Too bumpy!

I went on it in 93 as part of a 'field trip' in high school. The initial drop was crazy, but after that it was an blurry, bumpy ride that wasn't really scary at all.

the rattler's been up and running for 18 good years kinnda cool seeing this, especially sence iv ridin it.

@Olsor54 What about if they put some new Timberliner trains from the Gravity Group on there and actually maintain the ride. The Timberliner trains do things all the other woody trains don't. They have good suspension for the seats and actually steer through the track causing less bump and lower costs. Remove the trim breaks and rebuild it and you got a first class ride.
