  • Anyone else think that all that dancing looks kinda gay?

  • Because the idea of the weapon being a practice mechanism for an actual battle weapon lost steam. Fencing was, and still does to an extent in traditional schools, try to approximate an actual duel with parries and defense just as importantly as hitting your opponent. Or "not being hit", as that would constitute possible "death".

  • How come fencers stopped sword dancing?
