One thing I don't agree with, all these people seem to say they are obese because they like bad food. I work out, eat pretty healthy and am considered "obese" - at least, my BMI is. It isn't just what you EAT, sometimes there is more going on inside your body than you know. The stigma is made worse by assuming obese people eat unhealthy and are lazy. I found out I have a very slow metabolism, so even if I eat healthy (vegetarian) I might not lose weight.

There you will see a helpful free video presentation by a well respected doctor and qualified dietitian talking on how to eliminate extra fat. Plus I talked with a nutricionist about those weight issue and a said that proteins are needed in big quantites (but with lot of water too for the kidneys) in order to burn the fat. Maybe you do not get as much proteins as needed ? They do not have to be from meat but try to increase them it could work for you.

I disagree they do talk about genetical conditions in the first part of the documentary AND I'm sorry that you got this condition but this "inevitability" "concerns a very small number of individuals I believe. I hear a LOT of people say "it's genetics" and I do NOT find this right to use it as an excuse for obesity (obviously, I am not talking about you). People then think that it's a fatality when it is not! Those people have to stop making excuses, or they'll just die.

Maybe some people have a slower metabolism, but you have to work with the body you have. Figure out how many calories you need with a 3/4 day workout program by calorie counting, then eat 300-400 kcal less than you need to maintain weight. You will lose weight.
