New Square Father Set on Fire While Saving His Family

Early this morning Rotenberg woke up to hear people walking on his property. He ran outside thinking they are planning to shatter his windows yet again. But this time they attempted to burn the Rottenberg residents with a Molotov cocktail. When Mr. Rottenberg confronted them, 18 year Shual Shptitzer threw the Molotov cocktail on Mr. Rottenberg and fled the scene. Mr. Rottenberg was rushed to Westchester Medical Center by Spring Hill Ambulance Corp. with third degree burn to the upper half of his body. Shpitzer was tracked down by Ramapo Police and was arrested and charged with first degree assault and first degree arson, both felonies. Shpitzer has also suffered third degree burns on his arm. The charges could possibly be escalated to attempted murder, as they attempted to burn the house while its occupants were asleep and could have been killed if the attack was successful.
