The old Mr. Dusty gets overclocked for Folding@Home

My old servant gets a needed cleaning to prepare it for the overclock from 2083 to 2301 Mhz. All in the name of science to help out on the Folding@home project.

Folding@home is a software that takes advantage of your computers unused resources to simulate protein folding and misfolding. These simulations help scientist find the cure for diseases like Alzheimer's, Mad Cow (BSE), CJD, ALS, Huntington's, Parkinson's and Cancer.

The PlayStation 3 is out of the box installed with Folding@home which is now part of the Life with PlayStation application.

I saw this without actually thinking, I didn't realize that it was for one of the @home Programs. Hows it working sofar? I had remove Boinc from my newest computer a while back since it was poping up and freezing my opened windows.

@M1ST3RHYDE No problems. But I tend to get bad work units lately, so I'm thinking of running some BOINC on it instead until the WU's get better.

If you have problems check the priority of the program and make sure its on idle to prevent the system from becoming unstable.

Ya, I just got hasty & said fukit. Im once I figure out this LINUX thing & get my spare computer on track then i'll feel bettter about having GPUGrid. At the risk of sounding like the dork I proly am But I cant wait: & im stokd.

@chickennone I belive this was the first time I cleaned it since it was new (2003). It took several years of hard effort to get it to that point. ; )
