that is not what he is saying. He is simply stating the truth. When people are being failed by politicians, the president, etc. they indeed do start clinging to religion and gun laws. I agree clinging was not the best word to use. However, he is correct. You turn to other means of refugee and people in small towns, etc. start looking at religion. If he was so against religion, he would not be a Christian. What he wants people to realize is that you shouldn't always have to turn to religion for

I think this has to be looked at through the liberal agenda to grasp the full scope of how bad it is. The liberals are fascist. And like all fascist movements before them, the first step to political power is to get rid of Christianity so people can't tell the difference between right and wrong anymore. Guns prevent the imposition of their politics by force instead of consensus.
What Obama is saying is that they are in his way and manipulatively implying they are wrong to do that.

I think a lot of people don't realize Obama made this comment to a closed door meeting of about 300 well off upper middle class people. In typical kiss up to the cround your in front of fashion, he put down the lower class common folk. Only one person in that room had a recorder. If she was not there recording this it would have never been made public.

Hillary is a sharp policy wonk. She wins the freak show that was this debate. Obama will make a better leader. If you want Rovian politics, to be in bed with lobbyists, and Bill enjoying life on your dime, vote Hillary.
I believe Obama possesses the right vision for this nation.

I wish someone would ask him why this ONLY applies to people in small towns who don't vote for him? To my knowledge people from EVERY state experience hard economic times, what they hell are THEY clinging to?
Fact is Bitter & Clinging aren't really the insult he delivered here. If you listen to all of his comments he was making the case those small town simpletons don't vote 4 him cause they're a bunch of bigots

She lost me when she said she wanted the useless assault weapons ban reinstated. But then Obama did not better so I'm back. The both get an "F" from the NRA. Otherwise Obama really bombed on his Pastor again.
But all in all I'm voting McCain.
