The winter weather made its debut Friday, Dec. 19 in Brewster, NY and Green Chimneys, which operates a special education school, residential treatment center and farm and wildlife rehabilitation center, was hit with a foot of the white stuff! It brought lots of extra work to the farm staff and students who help care for the animals. The emus would have preferred warmer Australia weather, but the fjord horses looked comfortable in the flakes. Take a journey through our snow-filled campus and meet some of our animal friends including horses, an emu, a steer, goats, sheep, a hawk and even a fallow deer.
