Marisa was born and raised in the Santa Barbara canyons of CA.

"She began working with leather at a young age after being given a deer hide that had been tanned years back by her grandmother. Her jewelry making started with stringing together old Navajo, Zuni and mexican jewelry scraps from pieces her parents had collected over the years.

After finishing college at UC Berkeley she moved to the beach in Mexico for a year to surf, work in a tiny antique store, play music and focus on art and Jewelry making. All pieces were made with scavenged materials found in market places.

Now based in Oakland CA, she continues to create handmade pieces that have a similar beach aesthetic, but with a modern, lux quality. Designed to be worn multiple ways, these pieces allow the wearer to have freedom in styling and layering.
