Wondering how to set XSplit up to stream your games? This guide should answer every question you have.

In this guide, we cover:
- Where to get XSplit
- How to link XSplit to your streaming service (Justin, Twitch, UStream, Own3d)
- How to calculate max bitrate
- What resolution you should stream at
- How to get game & mic sounds over the stream
- How to insert pictures, text, webcams, and game images into XSplit
- And more!

Streaming depends a lot on your PC's specs and internet connection. Streaming is like running a 2nd game of equal/greater spec requirements on your PC, and it's very dependent on a stable, fast internet connection.

If you have the specs and bandwidth, you're 50% there. Watch this tutorial for the rest.

  • I love the tutorial just switched from procaster to xplist and your video helped me alot to understand it.

My question is while i get best DSL from ATT provider... was wondering who you use for your upload be so high? cause my is only 750 KBS. (which apparently is highest they got)

  • @LordsOfSkulls Glad it helped. I live in Japan where the standard form of internet is Fiber Optic (which is typically the faster variety of internet). You might need to investigate a new ISP for higher speeds.

  • when I try to do the properties thing everything works except for the channel drop down box... I click it and it's blank. do I somehow need to create a channel first?

  • @kur1gaming how do I do that?

  • @CaptainGamertag Go to JTV/Twitch.tv, make an account, make a channel, done. If it's still not working it might be a server communication issue, in which case it's Twitch's side.
