To answer some of y'alls' questions.

Yes, you can use it without the stylus. It's a common touch screen. However, it doesn't register multiple touches at once, and some of the features will almost require the stylus just from the standpoint of the screen's low resolution and tiny icons, sliders, etc.

And, yes, you can use the WiFi to get online even if the phone isn't activated. Actually, you can use all the phone's features but phone calls and EvDo connectivity.

yes, im using my dads old phone (ppc 6700) and he disconnected it before he gave it to me. but i can still use the internet

I just bought one on e-bay solely for the wifi aspect. I am traveling to Hawaii in May 09 and didn't want to lug a big lap top with me. Looks like I made a good move.

can you get on the internet via the wifi even if the phone isn't "activated" with a cell phone provider???
