AFM 39 Round 1 Formula 2 Honda RS250 Practice Crash

2008 AFM Round 1 at Buttonwillow Raceway Park. Captured with an Axial Video Mini DVR & Camera System mounted on the front fairing. The camera took the impact and the entire system recorded until shut off by the tech after the bike was dragged from the sandy runoff and returned to the garage. Judging from the shadow of the bike i'd say thats an Aprilia RS250. Honda never had an RS model.

I won three class championships at that track in 1998 on a 1998 Honda RS250, it was my favorite track. Looks like he crashed coming into turn 1, which is at the end of a long straight but a really unusual place to crash, it's simple left-hander, probably just came in too hot and low-sided. I've never seen anyone crash there except for at the beginning of the race, since it's turn 1 you get a lot of people bunched up there at the start.

yea i want to know what happened? from what it looks like, the front tucked and he wasnt even at much of a lean angle so it has to trail braking

Foz1990 is wrong because I raced a honda RS 250 in the AMA in 2001. This is a Grand Prix race bike not your street based Aprilia RS 250.
