While I was in Southern California training for my Instrument Rating, I had fallen behind on my required night landings and needed to do a three takeoffs and landings to a full stop.
More specifically, according to FAR 61.51, no person may act as pilot in command of an aircraft carrying passengers during the period beginning 1 hour after sunset and ending 1 hour before sunrise, unless within the preceding 90 days that person has made at least three takeoffs and three landings to a full stop during the period beginning 1 hour after sunset and ending 1 hour before sunrise.
Thanks to Jason Lamberton, CFII of Accelerated Flight Training http://www.aftcenter.com/ for all his help.
