You know what. I preferred it back in the 80's and early 90's when you just bought a gaming magazine, swap games with your friends at school on disk or tape, downloaded them from the local BBS and were oblivious to the other gamers out there other than reading the letters section.
That separation from looking and and listening to fuck wits made the whole scene more elusive and mysterious. Fuck gaming media media now, it's a lost cause.
