people just don't sing like this anymore :(
-
Fanny Brice could do it all sing, dance, act. She could make you laugh and cry. Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn were close friends of Ms. Brice and always felt that in real life she was the epitome of elegance.

@yellow435 Why is the song "RACIST"
-
@yellow435 it's spelled "racist" actually:) and yes - it's a pretty ignorant thing to be.

@diddymuck She was 39 in this movie... ~_^

Actually this song is "When A Woman Loves A Man". Annette Hanshaw also did an excellent version of it. That's Robert Armstrong at 1:22, in his pre King King days.
-
And Maggie Gyllenhaal!
-
She had a terrific figure and wore clothes like a million dollars. The facial resemblance here to Streisand is the most pronounced I've ever seen.
-
I always think of Mr Armstrong from King Kong and Mighty Joe Young. Here-hes rather the good lookin' youg comic hero.

I like this jazzy version . Ive a recording where she sings it more torchy .
she was kinda cute in her younger years.

Women were so feminine then. And cute. The music was cute. The styles were cute. I used to think those were the "olden days", my mother being born in 32. But she was only 26 years older than me. Lol.
