This is the progress as of July 2009. First of all, thanks for all the nice feedback, I appreciate it and I'm glad that you guys like the game or found interest in it.
The capture is a bit better this time and not as choppy as the last videos. But since the question was raised a couple of times in the last video: No the game does not lag, it's the capture that's choppy. Of course nothing in the scene is final, some areas are still missing. The walk animation is still a place holder. The game is still work in progress. Thanks for watching !

  • graphic is greate. it's all yours?

  • @MegaSpartan96 - Thanks, you should check the most current video though. Yes it is all mine.

  • is dis is really made frm dark basic??????

  • @11Adityabhaskar11 - Yes, the game is created in Dark Basic Pro.

  • Hey Irradic, try using FastSync rather than Sync. This was an old trick I used back when I used DarkBASIC. It should give you a little speed.

    rem Refresh the screen

    FastSync

    rem Make user able to quit

    if EscapeKey() = 1 Sync

    endif

  • @Autumn6 Thanks for the tip mate. I collapsed the majority of objects in the scene and was able to boost my frame rate by around 20 fps by reducing the render calls. It's now at around 80-90 fps which should be more than enough.
