Testing out my new Camcorder, the Panasonic SDR-S7.

Keep in mind, the footage is somewhat degraded from the original recording from the upload to Youtube and because I had to convert the MPEG2 file into an AVI file to get it to work in Windows Movie Maker.

Watch in High Quality.

  • What resolution did you upload in?

  • 856x480

  • did you use windows movie maker for this video ? I have the exact same camera and when I upload my stuff to you tube it wont fill up the whole screen like yours , maybe it has something to do when I publish it on the settings or the mode I record it on please tell me help!!

  • What did you do to the file before you put it in moviemaker? You have to output the file to an MPEG2 for use with other programs, making sure that a 16:9 aspect ratio is selected. You do this right in Motion SD studio. Then, you have to convert the MPEG2 to a file that is compatible with moviemaker. I used .AVI You'll need a separate program to do this. There are free ones out there, such as Mediacoder. I'm not going into details about how to use Mediacoder or other encoding software.

  • should I just use the software that came with the camera ? cause I film what ever and then just take out the sd card pop in the laptop cut and paste at desk top and open with windows movie maker and just start doing my transitions and stuff after Im finished I click on publish to this computer and on the sttings I go with play to highest quality available witch is the option that the w.m.m. hives me as default but i can still change it

  • Yes, use the software that came with the camera. The file on the card will be a .MOD file that requires another small file with it to play in widescreen. When you use MotionSD to put the file on the computer, it changes it to a MPEG2 that needs a small .mtv file with it to play widescreen. So, at that point, you can use MotionSD to convert the file to a normal MPEG2.

  • Why did the vid start off with the camera zoomed on the dogs arse?

  • 30 fps

What do you mean slow motion? If you want to edit the video later and put it in slow motion you can but there is no "slow motion" mode on the camera.

You probably won't find this camera anymore anyway. They stopped making it. They have a new one out that looks almost exactly the same and is more expensive. I'm not sure what is different about it.

  • Make a video on how do you publish your videos man please I still dont get it , I would truly appreciate it !!

  • lovely dog!
