Tear of the Beest (2008) won several awards, including Best Direction, at the 2008 48-Hour Film Festival (Asheville). Original submission could not exceed 8 minutes in length, so we have started to release project bonus footage, trailers, outtakes and B-roll to keep our fans, and those of A Cry for Help and Beestpelt, happy...or content, rather. How many "A Cry for Help" fans could ever really be happy.

This deleted scene highlights the process of auditioning potential lead singers for the Emo band "A Cry for Help," who has just lost their lead singer to a Christian Rock band, "Christers 4 Lifesters."

At the suggestion of their agent, played by Asheville-based actor, Waylon Wood, a has-been metal singer, Rhino, aka Frans von Haamer, aka Beestpelt, played by Rhino (aka Frans von Haamer, aka Beestpelt) decides a comeback is in order after losing his band in a tragic gondola accident while traveling through Europe during their mid-eighties European Tour.

It features Asheville-based musicians Andy Herrod (The Electric Owls, The Comas), James DeDakis and Alex Hornbake (Arizona), as well as bass player Matt Gentling (Archers of Loaf, Band of Horses, The Poles).
