My MEPS experience

Here's a little video on my personal experience at MEPS in Tampa FL. I'm now enlisted in the Army and will be shipping out to Fort Jackson, SC on May 16. I'll let you guys know how Basic goes when I can. For now I hope this video gives you a better understanding as to what expect at MEPS. And sorry for the lack of technical terms as I still have a lot to learn about the Military.

@crzzymnn911 Yup, it's true. But it's not that big of a deal. It literally takes like 2 seconds and then your done.

@val8585 You have to pass your ASVAB before you can officially sign up for the Army. You will not finish your processing if you do not pass the ASVAB. If you fail it then you have to wait another 30 days in order to take it. Once you pass then you continue your processing through MEPS and get your orders all squared away. Once you sign the official documentation or get sworn in, then you are officially in the Army. And then you will recieve your orders for where your going to basic.

my other questions is if someone has other things that are going on while you go to basic training like do they send you right away after meps or what man or how long is it before u go 1 more Question what if iam waiting on a Case with a Lawyer and iam in basic what happands when you have things like that going on

@val8585 After you go to MEPS and you get all your processing done, then you will receive your orders for where and when your going to go to basic. You don't go right away. Usually you have to wait a couple of months. I waited about 5 months before I got shipped out. And as far as your case situation. If you don't get it fixed in time you'll be able to take care of it while your in basic. Just make sure you talk to your recruiters, and your future drill sergeants.
