This is a comparison between these versions of the game

Info: Doom Troopers is a video game released in 1995 by Adrenalin Entertainment for the Super NES and Mega Drive/Genesis gaming systems. It is a platform shooter similar to the Contra series that is based on the Doomtrooper collectible card game, part of the Mutant Chronicles franchise.

  • Here's a novel idea... maybe learn how to play the game FIRST before you go making comparisons as the only thing that really stands out is your inferior game playing....

  • lulz

  • snes version looks better to me

  • In my opinion the Mega drive one is more fun to play then the SNES

  • @SiLeNtXaViOr I see its easier too, just check on the Ice Storm stage Boss

  • I said it looks better. and it does.

  • @IP6000 Okay people, I'm just going to say this now. Genesis and Super Nintendo are both great. They both have their unique parts about them and it's all based on preference. True gamers like both. I'm not really biased. SNES had Mode 7 and pre-rendered 3D graphics. Genesis had blast processing. They both had great exclusives.

  • @rkhussain You can aim at 8 directions in Genesis version, not in SNES one.

  • @TheBadBuffalo Yeah, Genesis isn't as sucky at all.

  • @nooblet911 Why can't you Nintendo fanboys be objective for once in your lives? Doom Troopers on SNES is handicaped compared to the Genesis version: it's slow and you can only shoot straight forward. I checked out both versions and I don't have magnifying glas powerful enough to detect any substantial graphical improvement in the SNES version. And even if it did look better I'd still prefer the Genesis version because gameplay is something I do care about.

Sega's version is faster and more fun to play. The Sega version is also more difficult , something that the lazier nintendo fans hate. The SNES version has better collors but is like in slow motion compared to Genesis.I'm not that slow.Actually most of the SNES games are slow , so annoying ...

  • @IggyHazard yeah, part of the setting from the Mutant Chronicles rpg is that the whole solar system was colonized, before we went and broke everything

  • Was Venus terraformed or something? I always wondered about that. The background and foreground art is quite good. The Super NES had a better sound card than the Genesis, but both had their perks.

  • Genesis does what Nintendon't.
