Notice how this is London in '56, and the black guys can sit with the white guys.

Yeah but they were very different beasts. Not saying it started in the UK, just saying that Greek democracy was forgotten about for a very long time after it dissolved. For instance, Karl Marx is generally seen as the father of Communism, yet it was Russia and not Germany that first took his ideas to a state level.

I do not understand why we have to even mention race just because of the era, it would keep he light-hearted atmosphere of the song if we just leave it alone and focus on the music. We know it happened and it's over (somewhat) but there is no use reminding everyone because it cannot be changed.

Yes it is about Music, and I also agree that Louis Armstrong was one of the Greatest of All Time. Yet, please understand that when he put down that marvellous horn, and walked off stage, he returned his daily life, he was ravaged by the extreme levels & practices of applied prejudice that was the ugliest of its kind in his era. So, for us to listen to his music, & not respect the ugly realities of his era is an insult in itself.

I've read the prior notes, and I've noticed the racial commentary. I appreciate the sentiments & respect of history from both perspectives. Yet, unfortunately we cannot avoid addressing such an issue when we are all so consciously aware of the true atrocities that took place due to the insane levels of prejudice in America & other countries from 1600 to 2000. Though there are still prejudice white people out there today, they are the now the minority, ie The Republican Party.
