Cali the Dog Escapes!

Our dog was escaping from her kennel when we would leave her alone. Puzzled as to how she did it, we videotaped her one day. I think you'll agree she's a clever doggie. Or just persistent. Or both.

crating a dog that can't stay out of trouble when left alone is more humane than letting the dog keep causing trouble and get into something that could harm her. so obviously yellowtwo has never owned a dog

looks like a desperate dog to me. How about someone lock you in a cage where you cant extend your arms.

Thanks for your comment. The dog is thriving and well cared for. She often chooses to stay in the cage, which we never lock any more. She's very comfortable there, and can stretch out to her heart's content. She can extend all her limbs.

i used to disagree with crate training but now that i plan on getting a dog my self, i will probably use one mainly for the first year of it's life.. mainy to prevent chewing up everything in my house lol.

Were is the dog right now? In a pen or a cage. Its trying to get out for a reason. spend sometime with your dog or get rid of it! When the dogs die and you look back on there life and think all you did for it keep them caged im sure for most of the day. i hope you return as a caged dog in your next life Jack!

The crate is too small and I hope the cozy blanket that belongs in there was in the wash--and that is why it was not in the video. How comfortable would you be in there?
