Truck With HMF 1144 Loading Crane

This truck was working on Bath Street in Market Harborough and there was a similar kind of vehicle at another site of roadworks a couple of weeks before. That was an Atlas and it appears on another of my videos here at YouTube. This truck has a Thompsons bed and an HFM 1144 crane. An advantage of using this sort of vehicle seems to be that it allows rapid removal of soil, helping to keep access clear. For some kinds of delivery work this system is an alternative to carrying a forklift truck on the back of a goods vehicle. This truck can be seen being worked in the next two clips here at YouTube.
