Persona 3 Portable Gameplay Footage - Inside Tartarus (Female Protagonist)

Persona 3 Portable gameplay footage.

Sorry for the bad audio quality. I recorded the audio using my camera.

P3P's gameplay is pretty much the same as P3(FES)'s, though the battle system has some tweaks to make it similar to P4's battle system. Notable changes are:

- You can now control your teammates.
- You can no longer change teammates' equipments by talking to them. Instead, you change teammates' equips through your menu screen.
- You and your teammate may perform a follow-up attack after you've knocked down an enemy.
- Knocking down an enemy does not make them lose a turn, instead, you have to hit their weakness/critical twice, which may make them dizzy, thus, losing their turn.
- Main characters' weapon are fixed (male wields a shortsword, female wields a chinese polearm)
- Male and female lead have separate battle theme.
- New costumes added. The costume my female lead is using is her winter outfit.
- All Out Attack looks more similar to P4's.
- You can now use "Defend (Guard)" command, which works exactly like P4's Defend. "Wait" command is no longer available.

Just curious, why do I see everyone always using spears as the MShe?

Are you no longer able to use all weapons as the MC, like you were in Persona 3 and FES?

You're no longer able to use all weapons as the MC. The male MC can only use a short sword, and the female MC's only allowed to use the spear. The female MC's spear's different from the one that Ken uses, so their weapons aren't interchangeable.

It's cool seeing all of the little changes they made, even just super small insignificant things like changing which piece of artwork they chose to represent Jack Frost. All those little things really add up, and make getting P3P totally worth it, even if you already have one of the other versions of P3.

Nifty gameplay sequence, thanks for showing this, I still like the original battle themes for the Male protagonist better myself, but this is an interesting take on the title. I like it, might get it when it hits 30 bucks.

Yes...the sound quality is kinda bad...but i think the video fotage more than makes up for it!! I was too ditracted drooling and screaming over how cool the game is to even care about the sound too much. Remember, bad sound is better than no sound! (sometimes).

Im really glad the decided to mix P3 with the battle aspects of P4. The p4 battle system is, in my opinion, MUCH better than the p3 one! No more guessing what your teammates will do! Yay!!
