I enjoy this scene, as the frame draws toward him, is altered/altering when he is giving his titles. I'm a bit curious why the director/DP/cinematographer made this choice and what they were trying to say.

@youtubularbell2 He wouldn't refer to himself as the UK's Ambassador either, it'd be Her Majesty's Ambassador.

@McFrosty2014 A Marquessate is a higher peerage than an Earldom, so he would be addressed as Marquess, not Earl (still "Lord X" informally), although there is only one Marquess in the UK who is not also a Duke.

Technically, he's the The Earl of Croy, Marquess of Needham and Dolby, then the Lord Marbury. He's addressed as the Lord Marbury throughout the series when infact he should be addressed or referred to as the Earl or Lord Croy.

@EdFreshwater False. They also messed up the order of precedence of his peerages. A marquessate outranks an earldom and would be mentioned first.
Gerald old sock!

So... people who use car bombs to kill British soldiers are "not exactly" terrorists? Heck, I love Ireland, but man!
