For sale on Ebay (Search for Item 220831681459)
Auction began Aug 13, 2011 (10 Day) Runs through Aug 23, 2011
BACKGROUND Up for sale is my 1976 Big Block 396 Camaro. I have owned this car for the last twenty five years (since 1986). It was my daily driver until around 1994. Since that time, it has spent much of its life inside my garage with very little mileage. An upcoming move dictates that I sell it. I have the original build-sheet and practically every receipt for all the parts & goodies this car features (and there are many!). Having said that, it is not a show-car. Describing the condition of a car is highly subjective. I've provided a lot of photos, so you be the judge. The paint looks great, but does have some imperfections and blemishes (see photos and description below). I've tried to represent the condition of the car as accurately as possible and will be happy to answer any questions you might have and provide additional photos and close-ups of anything you might want to see more of. There are close-ups of these blemishes in the pictures below. I want you to know exactly what you are getting and I want you to be satisfied with this incredible street machine. I'd like to see it go to a good home.
This car represents a really nice balance of street-ability and horsepower. It is pump-gas friendly on 93 octane fuel. The engine was completely rebuilt in 1988 with a long-list of high performance parts (see below). This car gets the job done with all the right stuff -- Big Block, TH400 Transmission, and a 12 Bolt Posi rear-end with 3.55 gears. You just don't see cars like this every day! How many small block, TH350, 10 bolt Camaros have you seen? Too many! Again, this car is totally streetable with relatively mild compression and moderate cam, but uses Rat Motor displacement and squeeze to provide monster torque and ample horsepower. It has run a ¼ mile E.T. of 12.04 through the mufflers (on slicks w/ nitrous) at 111 MPH with a 60' short-time of 1.69 sec while maintaining nice street manners. This is not some stripped-down, ragged out, shoddy-interior, no-frills race car... but it is not a show-car either. It has a nice interior with an awesome sound system and is fun to drive. IMHO, it is a nice balance of a street-strip machine. It fires right up and starts immediately with a healthy idle.
See Ebay auction for a COMPLETE list of all the performance parts this car has!
