The Canucks got the raw end of the deal for the Dieppe Raid. They were sacrificed IMO nothing. Where was their support? Where were the boats meant to recover them? All they showed was it was stupidity to assault a well defended port. As for the film used in the movie, it was close to what my grandfather said the nightdrop was like on that long day. His began at 1:36am, plane number 36, I company, 502nd PIR, 101st Airborne division.

@discord13 and 3. no one landed at Omaha

@Suffiest I think the same, beacause the song is about Ranger's troops.

Best iron maiden song ever and best band ever iron maiden rock!

@Suffiest Hmm...I always felt the saving private Ryan, while certainly horrific in the unbelievable difficulties portrayed to the soldiers, it felt more of a narrative than Band of Brothers. Band of Brother, I feel, fits this song in the sense that it is really dedicated to the struggles of the soldiers. But I certainly agree with you in the sense that Saving Private Ryan actually had the beach assault!

@ntekempe it ain't a movie numptey. its Band of Brothers

@SilvahDot That's a pretty ignorant fucking comment dude. Don't forget Dieppe, you spit on all the fallen Canadian soldiers' graves by saying that. People assumed Canada had no military in WW1 either, then they took Vimy Ridge to everyone's surprise. Sure, the Canadian military has never been this huge powerhouse like other nations, but don't say they don't count. Sacrifices have been made on all levels for us to enjoy the freedom we have today.

Good song, but I think Saving Private Ryan always went better with this song than Band of Brothers
