The history of 2011 Garage series cars:

Overview:

The 2011 Garage series was an extension of the original 2009 Larry's Garage, and of the 2010 Larry's / Phil's / Waynes' Garage. This line of cars has always been highly detailed, all metal, and with Real Riders tires. In 2011 The series became the best of all with very accurate paint jobs and an amazing array of 1950's to 1970's muscle cars and trucks (with a few modern cars as well).

Production:

In 2011, 10 different assortments (or cases) of Garage cars were shipped from Mattel to retailers. The 9th case (by label), which as it would turn out was actually the 10th and final case, suffered the ever-so-common 'Mattel Axe' effect. Nearing the end of 2011 and with the 2012 Boulevard Rides already being shipped (the replacement to the Garage series for 2012) - the 9th case of Garage cars production and shipment got the early kybosh. This is why the famous "J-case" (the ninth case that is actually the tenth) has the most sought after cars due to their rarity and limited production numbers.
