Is this really from 1983? The narrator mentions "by the end of 1982" as a future date.

Oh, I LOVE this! Brings back all those wonderful memories of traveling the Line 1 route that would take you from Hollywood and Western all the way to WeHo and the clubs...best line they ever had. Love that bit about training in the LA riverbed...no doubt if Metro tried to do that now, environmentalists would string the CEOs by their neckties! (and I'd be helping!) Ah, yes, RTD.;..those heady days of a strike every two years and those awful diesel engines belching out fumes...how things change!

Can't beleive I havent found your channel until today. I really like your posts. Looking for the Bill Cosby show episode where he and his bouy scouts are refused boarding a SCRTD fishbowl because they are carrying hockey sticks. If anyone has that clip it should be you.

And man, those modern 1983 computers were the $h\t! I remember the old RTS buses with the white bumpers. Goodtimes.

I remember the 484 use to go to the Ontario Airport, but that stopped after Omnitrans came out with route 61, and I think it also went to Riverside
Thank you SO MUCH for this video.
As an employee of the MTA of now,,I wish they felt like this video showed RTD cared,,now it`s all about Money and Cuts
Any possibility you have "Pete`s Bus" from the RTD instruction Library?
Thanks again for this great video

We'll look for it. We're in the process of converting 1000+ VHS tapes and 50 or so films (16mm and 8mm) to DVD. We've selected a bunch that meet YouTube's 10 minutes or less rule for posting here. Project has only just started. We enjoy these films and love sharing them, glad you appreciate it.
