Bisga Greenlands without a thief

Here's another way of getting the GOOD SAMARITAN trophy (PS3), but you might use this template to get a better high score with some thief-provided extra gil.

10 minutes wasn't enough to properly show the troop deployment phase. Also I wanted to have the actual waves visible, so I had to fast forward everything just to squeeze this video to 10 minutes..

I hope the annotations make things easier to understand.

For some reason, a purple wolf gets through, the yellow "Plague" a few get through, and from there on it just gets messy. I had to add in a lvl 3 mage and soldier on the right just to cut some HP out and kill them on the last corner...and the boss, two of them keep getting through. Is the dmg different between games? I'm using a PS3 version.

I don't believe there to be any difference. I tried this same strategy on a PSP with identical results. Besides, this video is actually from the PS3 version (the lower right hand corner has the Confirm button visible after each wave, with the trademark blue X).

@beatpeitsi I found my problem. My white monks were a half block to the south. I didn't realize that little tiny thing could change the entir outcome of the map. It's weird because they cover the same amount of pathway. I guess it's the reaction time on the monks?

Anyway, got my trophy. Thanks a bunch for posting the video :D

Yes, I also found out by repetition, while devising this strategy, that a single off spot might prove to be fatal. And more often than not, it was.

Going back through some games to get achievements and came upon Good Samaritan--couldn't get past Wave 30. Great solution--worked perfectly. Thanks for sharing. For those still going for this and having problems, make sure your character placement is exactly as shown in the video--that should clear up any issues.
