most people do speed runs with Flash Man first to take advantage of the time stopper for certain obstacles. they also generally don't follow your 'traditional' MM2 order (ie Metal Man first)

but the good thing about MM2 is that since no boss has any set weakness like in most MM games, you can mix the order up. also helps that he's doing it in normal mode.

There are actually just two obstacles it is helpful with and even with them it's not really needed.
