I went through the whole process and the profile DID appear but the tether settings didn't "/ and yes my iPhone 3g is jailbroken and running on 3.1.2

I got tether ing to show up in network settings but when I tried to connect to my MBP via bluetooth the connection had an error and the tethering settings disappeared. Gonna give it another go.

Do you know if it is free with Att?

@ellong820 Yes, currently it is if you do it this way. Unfortunately I think when the new iPhone comes out and tethering is enabled they will charge you. If you use too much data currently they will figure see it then charge you. Hasn't happened to me and i tether a lot.

I don't know if I mentioned in the video that your iPhone has to be jailbroken or not, but it does in order for this profile to work. I've tried it on non jailbroken phones and they it won't work on them. The phone in the video is a 3G not a 3GS. It should work on the 3GS though since i've successfully tried it on that phone as well.
