  • Gerry, baie dankie ou vriend! As a descendent of Casper and Diederik Coetzee who founded the town of Zeerust, originally Coetzeerust, not far from Groot Marico and very much in love on with the works of Herman Charles Bosman, I thank you for this reading. As the previous commentator rightly remarked, this just has to be read with an Afrikaans accent, giving that extra quality to these stories from the 'bosveld'. Please do some more! A Boerseun in the UK.

  • fantastic and thanks. I first met Bosman's works when in South Africa and they are both humerous and biting. He was a really gifted observer and writer. Hopefully you might add some more readings. They do need to be read with an Afrikaans accent
