Base 51 http://www.base51.org.uk/ is a holistic health centre providing a comprehensive service offering realistic help and advice that reflects the needs of young people aged 12 - 25 years, living in the Nottinghamshire area.
The centre opened in June 1993 and offers a wide range of confidential support services. Target groups are homeless young people, young people in or leaving care, young parents, young people with mental health problems, young offenders, unemployed, young people who misuse drugs and alcohol and young people who have experienced abuse.
The centre organises activities and encourages participation from young people. This video came out of a project about human trafficking and modern day slavery. It shows the young people who participated in the project holding statements from the evaluation forms they filled in after the project was complete. The music is "Immigrint Workforce" by Bedouin Soundclash, used with kind permission from Pirate Blend Records.
