In Indonesia illegal fishing boats are destroying marine habitats, and stealing fish from the fishing communities depend on the sea for income and food. The result is a terrible conflict that has killed over 200 people. See this film by the Indonesian NGO JALA on the deadly impacts that trawling is having on both the local environment and the fisher communities that depend on it.

...Horrible that they end up throwing away 2/3 of what they trawl anyway...not to mention that trawling ruins the ecosystems and anything flowing in its path. People need to realize that trawling is ruining our planet.
