I saw this Dodge Charger at the Fountain Valley Car Show. The officer told me that at the moment it is only 1 of 7 Chargers in their inventory. Soon all the Ford Crown Victorias will be phased out and these high performance Chargers will be on the California highways ready to catch speeders.

  • I know, Dodge Charger + CHP graphics = better than sex.

  • Those Chargers make one mean looking cop car. It's enough to scare the piss out of the people being chased.

  • weak siren

  • @HighRollerz Sucks for you. But down here in James City County VA, the ENTIRE police force are chargers. All vics have been replaced. Except for the 1 undercover one or the few unmarked undercover impalas other than that, the entire force are chargers. Google our police department so you can see them.

  • Literally stops your heart for a second when this passes you.

  • @elsamuraiguapo You should see the Arkansas state police's charger

  • Man CHP has the most boring flash patterns on these. All simultaneous single flash? Horrible.

They should go back to the Federal Signal V bars, specifically these: watch?v=ji-DI1vCjNg

  • My next ride.. hope to drive these but where i live they still drive the crown victorias

  • The CA Highway Patrol is equipping these Chargers with Whelen interior lighting packages and CCSRNTA3 relay/amplifiers controlled from a purpose-manufactured Collins/Rockwell master computer. Now if only they'd put the new Timberwolf PS45-T6-M3-C3-F3-A11 behind their grilles for decent siren performance at 90 mph (at which the twin SA315's off the CCSRNTA3 are practically useless)....

  • @AznPwnageFTW yeah...personally, I love the crown vic...I went on a ride along in a crown vic last saturday, and man does that 4.6 v-8 make a nice sound when it's floored....but it needs more hp and tq., 250 hp and 297 lbs. ft of tq. isn't really enough....my thought was throwing in the 315 hp 4.6 v-8 from last years' mustang gt, or even next years' 412 hp 5.0 v-8.....but after next year, it's not gonna matter...as soon as the last crown vic goes out, the first taurus pi is commin' in...

  • @chpman2013 Personally, I think that the Crown Vic is a great vehicle that's aging. It would save the departments lots of cash if they just replaced the engine and modernized the interior. However, I do NOT like the Chevy Caprice. It looks horrible and makes me wantta bulldoze it with a Hummer. Charger's... well can only charge. I'm going with either the Taurus or the E7 as the future.

  • @AznPwnageFTW you got that right....in 2012, there's gonna be a lot of police sedan options since the early 80's...there's gonna the Carbon Motors E7, the Dodge Charger (V-6 and V-8 HEMI), the Chevy Impala, the Chevy Caprice PPV (V-6 and V-8), and finally the Ford Taurus PI (regular V-6 w/ either FWD or AWD, and Ecoboost V-6 w/ AWD standard...the future of police cars is gonna be very interesting, I can tell you that....
