I'm not sure Riggers, look at Ralfs body language, after playing the shot he stands and looks down the path of the 9 towards the side bag. I think he went for the shot but played it dead weight so if line was wrong it would settle on side cushion and only leave a difficult cut shot.

I agree with rigger, That was an offensive safety and he should have hit the cue ball a touch harder and set up for the 10 in the side pocket. Then he wouldn't have to have worried if it had gone or not. I'm not down playing Ralf though... he was feelin his oats and when that happens.... well I think you can see...!
