*UPDATE 06/03/11*
To answer a frequently asked question, the bass I used in this video is a Peavey Cirrus 4 BXP. I now primarily use Cirrus basses as I no longer own any of the Peavey Grind's in some of my other vid's.

*UPDATE 12/04/09*
So I recently bought WPB,and upon closer listen,I realized that the pre-choruses in this vid are off by a fret,so everything that you see starting with "444 4 444 4 444 333 3 333 3 333..." needs to be moved down one fret and you'll get it right.

Some people have asked me about my picking technique in this video. I'm utilizing alternate triplets(down,up down up,down,up,etc.) rather than the straight technique, because it's just as effective and not as strenuous on the picking hand. Some may look down on this technique, but it's just a matter of common sense. One last thing,if you're going to preach against the use of a pick, then don't even bother commenting. Tom Araya uses picks,so come to peace with it lol

  • It goes 7-8, 7-8 then 8-10 on the A string during the bridge, not 7-8, 7-8, 10-8. Then during the chorus it's all on the A string.

  • @GWTSPEC7RE No dude, listen to the song more carefully. The bass drops from the A to the E,back to the A and repeat during the chorus measures. And I never play any 10-8 sequence. I did my fair share of mistakes, yes, but the chorus is dead on.

  • More than just the pre-choruses of. Check the tuning of the song.

  • @NKUSigEp11 Standard Flat,my friend. Eb-Ab-Db-Gb.

  • I wish I could play bass... Stupid hands are too small. At least I have my guitar

  • @SergeiTheAnarch Try a short-scale bass.

  • Slayer always has such easy bass i guess cause Tom has to sing and play at the same time

  • @headstein Of course it is. I posted *READ THE DESCRIPTION FOR IMPORTANT TAB UPDATE* in the video for a reason. Please do this before you post a comment.
