Dr. Michael White and Bryan Batt perform the Star Spangled Banner in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 3, 2012.

This is probably the first time a Wurlitzer Reform Boehm clarinet has been played over live national television in America!

  • Thanks for posting this! I was watching this live and remember thinking how great their performance was. I watch Mad Men and never realized Bryan Batt was such a good singer. And the clarinet playing is amazing. I love the New Orleans jazz influence it has.

  • So glad you posted. I thought as I was watching it that it might be the best anthem i'd ever seen. as others have said below, so New Orleans.

  • Saw this live and thought it was by far the best rendition I've ever seen. Really interesting, well done and so very New Orleans.

  • 2 of my favorite things. Wolverines and New Orleans.

  • Thank you for posting. I was going to try to figure out how to do this as I haven't done this kind of transfer before.

WHAT A GORGEOUS VOICE. And the clarinet was soooooo New Orleans.

  • Thanks for posting! Subpar performances by both football teams left this as one of if not the best performance of the night

  • Brilliant playing by Dr. Michael White. Thanks for posting.
