Actually I thought Harry had a decent goodbye in "Terror of the Zygons" - a nice subtle "I'll go with Brigadier" in a car rather than TARDIS which was fitting after the past few weeks (?) he'd just experienced. And having him back for The Android Invasion was wonderful - in fact, he was really the only companion in the Classic Series to come back after their TARDIS time (excl the Brig who was never a Companion per se). Loved that with RTD era of the new series and would like to see more of what

A shame Harry disappeared, from the show without a proper goodbye scene that was disgraceful a popular character like Harry just vanishing like that was terrible in billions of ways.
