well actually

the Moth of Sauron was a mage at one time, so that's what they made him, but he needed a staff that didn't look generic for him

so either to save time or as a cool little "easter egg" they gave him the same staff as Sarumon, it's nothing to pay too much attention to

@Booyah129786 Well this sequence would be after Gandalf would have broken Saruman's staff and if in retrospect the Nazgul had reached Saruman first and forced him to relinquish his staff then he wouldn't have it anymore and it seems acceptable to be taken as a trophy... something Sauron likes to do. Taking the Palantirs and Rings.

Though, I think if Saruman was faced with the Nazgul, like Gandalf, he could still take them on. He was still a Maia and still mightier... and still an Istar atm

@Booyah129786 Well in reality the Mouth of Sauron was a great sorcerer. He would naturally be a magic weilder, but why he has Saruman's staff is...unexplainable.

The only thing I can think of is in this alternate reality bit, perhaps the Nazgul got to Saruman first and took his staff? Something like that. Doesnt make since in normal lore, but this game is all backwards and twisted.

well he has such little time in the film that they had to make thar up for him, and i never read the books, but i'm guessing he was either described as a mage, or he played a small part, but big enough for him to be used as his own hero in games like this.

I don't get why The Mouth of Sauron is a mage. And what I also don't get is that he has Saruman's staff.
