Excerpt from Actors Theatre of Columbus outdoor production of Oedipus Rex by Sophocles.
In this segment Oedipus has just been told by the seer Tiresias that he is slayer of the former king, Laius, and thus the cause of his land's ills. Since whoever killed Laius must be slain or banished, Oedipus, blind to his own guilt, confronts his brother-in-law Creon and accuses him of conspiring with the seer to overthrow him.
Translation by Richard Jebb. Directed by John S. Kuhn. Features Nick Baldasare as Oedipus, Todd Colvert as Creon, and Josie Merkle as Jocasta.
