When the riot police pushed out protesters from the downtown area, they basically pushed them into the Capitol Hill area, where police decided to roam through the neighborhoods and randomly pepper spray the people who live there. Mind you, these arnt the people protesting, these are people who lived out of the no-protest-zone and were going about their daily lives, getting food from QFC, getting a burger at Dicks or perscription at Rite Aid.
I did not film this video and I dont know who did. I was temping for Microsoft at the time and the 1394/FireWire tester was given this tape.

I'm not for the cops but if a cop was walking down my street or even someone pretending to be a cop holding pepper spray and wearing a mask, while telling you to go home....I would just go home and lock my door. Then I wouldn't have been sprayed. Seems pretty simple. Screaming at an agitated cop in that situation isn't helping anything. That being said....them cops are still dicks.

No, you go home pig! The same thing happened to me during the WTO riots, I was also pepper sprayed outside my Capitol Hill apartment. Also had tanks going down my street shooting off tear gas for days.

im not violent... but seeing the cops do what they did in 1999 on capitol hill it would be very hard to not brick those bastards. SPD hasn't learned shit in the last 12 years.
