2009 Oxnard CA Gem & Mineral Show

The Oxnard Gem & Mineral Society Presents: The 40th Annual Galaxy of Gems Expo, "Ruby - The Jewel of Kings", Saturday, November 21st, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM and Sunday, November 22nd, 10:00 AM 4:00 PM, at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center, 800 Hobson Way, Oxnard, California 93030. Free Admission, Free Parking, Free Hourly Door Prizes.




Judith Osmer and Virginia Carter of Ramaura™ Cultured Ruby will be at the show. Osmer's research on how rubies grows in nature, resulted in a technique that mimics nature to create a ruby astonishingly like a natural ruby, inclusions and all! Representatives from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Women in Mining and the Santa Paula Oil Museum will also be there.

Each kid will receive a free polished rock. There will be about 70 display cases, games for kids, demonstrations of wire wrapping, rock polishing, select vendors and more! Most of all, it is a great opportunity to have some fun! For more information visit: www.oxnardgem.com
